Lilah Anatolian Shepherd Adult Female in Whitewright, Texas

My story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lilah has the serious expression of her mother, whom we were told is a Great Pyrenees mixed with Anatolian Shepherd. Lilah has the coat and coloring of a Catahoula or Red Heeler, so we're guessing her dad must be some kind of Cow Dog. But it's all just speculation on our part, and the only way to know for sure which breeds contribute to her unique good looks would be to do a DNA test. That's not in our budget, but if you would like to DONATE one, we would be glad to have it done and share the results. :)

Like most Anatolian Shepherds, Lilah is somewhat reserved, loyal to her family and pack, and  distrustful of strangers. This means she doesn't do well at adoption events or even one-on-one in a meet & greet situation, so she gets passed over time and again.  But when you win Lilah over, her loyalty to YOU will be unmatched.

Lilah could be a great addition to a small homestead, as she has proven to be safe with our goats, sheep, and chickens.  She prefers living inside the house, but goes into the chicken yard with us every day to check things out.

She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is ready to start protecting your home as soon as you're ready to start earning her trust.
